How it works

Set up in three steps.

    Download the Brief iPhone app and allow calendar access. It covers the iCloud, Google and Outlook calendars already on your phone.

  2. 2

    Choose your calendars and the time you want your brief.

  3. 3

    Tap Connect WhatsApp and send the message that opens. That's it.

One message at the time you choose, opening with a sentence on the shape of your day. Times always come straight from your calendar.

Clashes

Double bookings are flagged, so you see them before they catch you out.

Free time

Gaps and back-to-back runs are spelled out.

Leave-by times

"Leave by 12:25" for meetings with an address, worked out with Apple Maps.

Ask questions

"What's on next Thursday?" "When am I seeing Lisa?" Just reply.

Meeting reminders

5 to 30 minutes before, or before you need to leave. On WhatsApp or as a phone notification.

Also: an optional evening look at tomorrow, the calendar name on every entry, one-tap Full day and Tomorrow buttons, and pause for holidays or weekends off.

Questions

Does it change my calendar?+

No. Brief only reads your calendar. It never adds, changes or deletes anything.

Which calendars work?+

Any calendar already on your iPhone, including iCloud, Google and Outlook. You choose which ones Brief reads.

I don't use WhatsApp. Can I still use Brief?+

Yes. Choose Telegram in the app and your brief arrives there instead.

What if I'm on Android?+

Not yet. Brief is iPhone only for now.

Does it cost anything?+

Pricing isn't set yet. We'll publish it before Brief is on the App Store.

How do I stop it?+

Pause it in the app for holidays, turn off weekends, or delete all your data at any time in Settings → Delete my data.
